The Privacy Policy for Safety Management Solutions Pty Ltd (SMS) ABN 49 166 132 163 of PO Box 135, Berowra, NSW 2081 complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy Amendment Act 2012. We will adhere to the Australia Privacy Principles as effective from 12th March 2014.

These principles cover the handling, collection, use, storage and disclosure of all client information. The laws require that organisations clearly outline what type of information they hold, the reasons this information is held, the way in which it is used and in what circumstances it is disclosed. SMS may in the course of our dealings directly or indirectly with our clients collect personal and sensitive information about the client or the clients business, or staff of the client business. We only collect information on a needs to know basis to assist us in performing our business functions and activities, including:

  • Answering your enquiries, providing information and advice about our products or services;
  • Updating our records and the content of our websites; and
  • For our business processing, administrative, marketing and planning requirements.

The usual type of information collected includes, but is not limited to, your e-mail address, phone number, postal address, workplace conditions and situations. Information collected is used for the purpose of providing that service to you.

If you do not disclose the personal information that we are seeking to collect then we may be unable to respond to you, or provide you with our products or services, or send you information about them.

All SMS data is located in Australia and will not be disclosed to overseas recipients.

Individuals have a right to access their personal information and to request its correction. This may be done in writing (via e-mail). These requests will be actioned within five working days.
